Prompt payment in full is required at time of invoice, on completion of work.

Preferred payment method is by Cash.

However with prior arrangement we can accept cheque or BACS.

All parts remain the property of M. Y. Bike Repair until paid for in full.

Any parts specifically ordered must be paid for in full, beforehand and cannot be returned for credit.

SORRY but we are unable to accept payment by card at the moment.


All prices quoted (website / flyers / download menu) are for ‘Labour’ only (unless otherwise specified).

All Parts supplied, fitted or used are charged extra.

There is a minimum labour charge / call out fee of £15. However this fee is waived if the work carried out costs more than this.

If you reside (or location of where work to be carried out) is outside of the 10 mile radius, we are still able to carry out work with your agreement, but there is a charge fee for travelling. This is a cost of £5 plus 50p per mile for the total mileage. Example: 20 miles:- £10 + £5 = £15; 38 miles:- £19 + £5 = £24


We aim to contact the customer as soon as is practicable and in any case within 48 hours of the request being made. (providing there are no unforeseen circumstances, or extended periods away from the office i.e. training, conference or holiday)

We aim to make appointments within a reasonable time frame and to attend the appointment as promptly as possible, or to contact the customer if a significant delay occurs due to unforeseen circumstances.


We aim to carry out all work with the minimum of disruption to the customer.

It is the customers responsibility to ensure a suitable and safe place of work. If no suitable area on the premises is available we reserve the right to make an additional charge for carriage of the bike to a suitable place of work, or refuse to carry out the work.

The work place provided must be free from children and animals, this helps avoid accidents or injuries.

If the bike is presented in a dirty condition we reserve the right to make an additional charge to clean the bike to a standard that meets Health & Safety requirements, also to allow closer inspection of the frame and components.

We are not obliged to offer any service or carry out any work in an area where there is a Health & Safety risk.


We guarantee all our work with our common sense warranty.

You expect a job to be done properly, our parts to be suitable for the job and to last a reasonable amount of time, as is your right.

Therefore if there is any aspect you are unhappy about, then get in touch and we will discuss how to resolve your issue amicably.

Similarly, we would not expect you to ask us to be responsible for damage caused by accidents; carelessness; off-road excursions; using the bike for any activities not intended for (jumping, tricks, drop-offs) or any alterations/adjustments made by others.

We warrant that work will be done to a professional standard and any defective work will be corrected free of charge to the customer. Work will be guaranteed for 90 days, subject to appropriate use (see common sense warranty). The warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear or unauthorised alterations/adjustments.
